How it works

Three Steps. One Minute.
Done Forever.

Once installed, SilkSlide clips stay on your rod. Pleats reset perfectly every single time you close them.

1

Snap onto rod

Press the SilkSlide clip directly onto your curtain rod. The C-shaped body cradles the rod and locks with a click. Position one clip per curtain tab — most panels use 7–10 clips.

Works on 1", 1.25", and 1.5" rods — no measuring needed if you bought a standard rod from Target, IKEA, or Home Depot.

Thread the tab

Loop your curtain's back tab around the clip body — not the rod. The smooth PETG plastic exterior becomes a low-friction bearing between the tab and the rod.

The fabric never touches the rod surface. No catching. No dragging. Works especially well on heavy velvet and blackout curtains.

Lock and glide

Slide the locking clip down to secure the fabric tab. Open and close your curtains with one finger. The clip body also spaces each tab automatically — close the curtain and watch it fall into perfect, uniform pleats.

Pleats reset to the same position every time. No fluffing. No adjusting. Always professionally staged.

FAQ

SilkSlide comes in three sizes: Small (1" rod), Medium (1.25" rod), and Large (1.5" rod). These cover approximately 80–85% of standard curtain rods sold in the US at Target, Home Depot, IKEA, and Amazon.

SilkSlide works with any back-tab curtain — the style with sewn fabric loops on the back that slide onto a rod. It works with linen, velvet, blackout, sheer, and polyester. It does not work with rod-pocket, grommet, or pinch-pleat curtains.

One clip per curtain tab. Most standard 52" panels have 7–10 back tabs. The Starter Pack (10 clips) covers one panel. The Double Pack (20 clips) covers a full window with two panels. Count your tabs before ordering and round up.

No. SilkSlide clips are made from PETG plastic, which is softer than most metal rods and won't scratch finishes including brushed nickel, oil-rubbed bronze, gold, and matte black. Snap on and off without tools and leave no marks.

Yes — take the curtain panels off the rod first, snap all your SilkSlide clips onto the rod, then re-hang each panel by looping the back tabs around the clips. About 60 seconds per panel. No second person needed.

PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) plastic. It's flexible, heat-resistant, UV-stable, and naturally low-friction — which is why it works so well as a bearing between the curtain tab and the rod. The same class of material used in food-safe containers.
